Here are some examples of works undertaken.

I have put some of our stock for sale in too.

Here are some of our recent projects.
There was the lovely Mahogany dressing table that had been "dipped and stripped " it was in a bit of a sad state, all joints were loose and it had cracked open as the piece had dried out , the Mahogany had lost all its colour and the metal work had stained the woodwork caused by a reaction with the chemicals used in the process.

The item could not be put together, it was not stable enough to support the top or the mirrors. We glued and cramped sides pulled joints back into place ,inserted more dowels ,planed drawer sides.  Removed the stains , polished and waxed

this was the eventual result

This is a fairly typical Edwardian Chaise we see many of these usually done in unfortunate shades of draylon.
We strip them down to the webbing and springs, usually they have copious quantities of polyester fibres stuffed inside. These are all replaced with fitting materials for the piece usually horsehair and cotton linters then a final coat of fire resistant calico goes on before the top layer of fabric which the customer chooses.

Cane work

This is an example of the cane work we have to undertake.

The Uig chair

We were given a spec for this piece, first we produced a prototype 1/5 of the scale ,  it was to be a soft chair in the shape of a doughnut with a hole in the middle .
We decided that we should use a foam base and build in a channel , into which we laid a  cushion filled with polystyrene beans , this gave us a level of support and structure.
This was given a base of leather with a suede base to reduce slippage and the top was covered with the supplied Harris Tweed.
