Hi Maggie here,
For the last two years I have been studying Furniture restoration at the Glasgow Met.
Having just graduated I now want to get out there and get my hands dirty.
It has been an interesting time learning new skills and I am looking forward to becoming more proficient in the future .
When I started college I was sure my interests would lean more towards the upholstery side, but now I have worked with stains and polishes ,I think my real passion is WOOD.
I plan to have my little business (Touchwood) up and running by May.The idea is to start of by going out in a van to repair scratches and dents,Then with any luck get a unit somewhere nearby to allow me to work on larger pieces of furniture.
Its also imperative that my dog Jack can travel around with me in the van .
I shall keep you posted as to how things are progressing .
